The next Dinner on the Farm is coming Saturday, September 25, 2021. Gather with us as we team up with Chef Cyril Murphy of Harvest's Table and a few amazing NC farmers to create a distinctly local, al fresco, community dining experience unlike anything you've experienced before. Each dinner features humanely raised and caught meats, lovingly crafted cheeses from happy herds, artisan bread made from local grains, and vegetables grown naturally in harmony with the land. Whenever possible, all ingredients are NC grown, many right here on Windy Hill Farm and in Orange County. We can't wait to see you at the table!
TICKETS
Each ticket includes a local, seasonal, five-course meal plus live and lively music. Alcohol pairings are available for an additional fee. Final seating arrangement is left to the discretion of the host and waitstaff. Please purchase tickets under one party name or include any other guests joining you within the "note" section when purchasing your ticket if you wish to be seated together. Advanced reservations are required and a limited number of seats are available. |
MENU
Dinners feature a seasonal and exceptionally local five-course menu selected and prepared by Chef with the freshest food from Windy Hill and a few fabulous guest farms and bakers. Each menu will be hand selected by Chef using what is freshest at the time of the dinner and will be inherently unique. Because of the seasonal nature of each dinner, menus are often finalized the week or days before the event and are typically not revealed until the start of each dinner. We will occasionally share specifics or full menu with ticket holders a few days prior to the dinner so BYO wine or beer can be paired accordingly.

We will not be able to provide the same level of planned, curated substitution for dietary requests received within 48 hours of event start. Substitutions are not available on the day of the dinner and omissions may not be possible or practical.

- Passed or family-style salumi, charcuterie, and artisan cheese boards
- Family-style bread + butter
- Hearty family-style or plated salad
- Chef's choice plated or served buffet main course
- Mug-style dessert

LOGISTICS
Dinner on the Farm is a semi-formal dining experience hosted outdoors on a working farm. Suggested attire is farm fancy or evening casual with comfy shoes - we suggest flats, boots, loafers, or wedges. Bring layers/blankets and hats. Dinners are held rain or shine. In case of rain, dinner will take place in our open-air event barn. Dinner is about 1.5-2 hours long, usually timed around golden hour, and is book-ended by a farm-centric social hour before and private mini concert or firelight wine-down after. The full experience is about 4.5-5 hours long and makes a fabulous anniversary or birthday gift, destination dinner, or romantic date night out! ELIGIBILITY
Dinners are open to all ages but are recommended for ages 21+. Given the limited number of seats for each dinner, we are not able to offer a reduced price on meals for children. Unless your child is able to enjoy the meal, we encourage you to find a sitter. Children and teens must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
CANCELLATIONS | REFUNDS
Tickets are non-refundable but may be gifted or transferred to another guest. If you are unable to make it, please find someone else who will be able to take your place. We welcome you to post any tickets for sale or trade on our Facebook event page. Tickets are date-specific. With one week advanced notice, we are able to transfer tickets to a future farm dinner during the same season for an additional $25 transfer fee. We do not have a waitlist for sold out events, as it is unlikely that spots will become available. If you’re interested in attending an event but tickets are not available on our website, check our Facebook event page for buy/sell/trade opportunities or contact us in the week leading up to the dinner and we’ll let you know if there are any openings. |
